Lithuania
Lithuania is not particularly associated with medical tourism, but in recent years it has been actively developing thanks to state programs and government support. Most often Europeans who have undergone treatment in German or Austrian clinics come to Lithuania to undergo a rehabilitation and recovery course. Private clinics offering a wide range of services are developing actively. The cost of services in private and state clinics is cheaper than in many Western European health care institutions.
Considering the rapid pace of development of medicine in Lithuania, hospitals are being fitted with modern equipment, and specialists receive practical training in world-famous European clinics. There are no problems with the language barrier, as the staff speak English and Russian without much difficulty.
